Welcome

Scott ThompsonWelcome! The fact that you are here shows that you want to make an informed decision when you make your selection of the candidate you feel will best represent you on Council.

Beware! Like all candidate websites you will receive my personal, biased information on what I bring to the table. If you want to get less biased information on me and all the other candidates, I suggest you Google the names of each candidate and see what information comes up.

Clicking the links from the main media outlets (i.e. digital news, television, audio news, and newspapers) will usually provide you with useful, factual and unbiased information (media outlets could be sued if the information wasn’t factual and unbiased).

To find out how engaged each candidate has been in the municipality, I suggest going to the Richmond Hill website and entering each candidate’s name in the search bar to see if they have ever corresponded with Council or have even attended before council as a delegate. I think you may find it quite revealing as to how little some candidates have been involved in municipal politics.

While I applaud those who are willing to put their name in the race, it has become obvious to me that some candidates don’t have a proper grasp of what it takes to be a councillor. In fact, every election you will find candidates who think that the role of a councillor is a “part-time” position which they can do while they continue to run their businesses and raise their families. When in reality, you really want a candidate who is fully committed to the role “full-time”.

I am someone who will be committed to the role of councillor “full-time”.

Please feel free to browse the rest of my website and reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to support my campaign.

Cheers!
